about

This first tune is one of Sean Ryan’s great compositions. The second tune following suit being a Paddy Fahey tune, which we learned from the playing of The Kane Sisters. Pamela bought their album “Under The Diamond” on the way home from her first fiddle lesson and they heavily influenced us as children. Paddy O’ Brien composed the last tune of this set.

The Queally Sisters

Aoibheann and Pamela Queally from Kilmaley, Co. Clare (Concertina and Fiddle): a true representative of West Clare music, launching their new album in 2019. The pair have grown up playing music together, being influenced by the rhythmic and melodic style of Clare tradition.

"I hear the music of Aoibheann and Pamela, I am smiling.
The foot is tapping, and I am right there with them."
